  • sugar - 1 item
  • frozen peas - 1 item
  • mayonnaise - 1 c
  • onion - 1 item
  • celery - 1 item
  • green pepper - 1 item
  • bacon - 1 item
  • head of lettuce - 1 item
  • mild Cheddar cheese - 1 item

How to make layered salad:

In a large bowl, layer the following: One head lettuce (bite size pieces), chopped celery, frozen peas, chopped green pepper and sliced onions.

With you hand, make a hole in center of salad. Add 1 cup mayonnaise, mixed with sugar. Sprinkle with fried, chopped bacon and shredded mild Cheddar cheese. Cover and sit overnight in refrigerator. Toss just before serving.
