Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 4 Tbsp
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- orange juice - 4 Tbsp
- tart apples - 6 item
- pineapple juice - 1 c
- walnuts - 2 oz
- heavy cream, whipped - 1/2 pt
- celery hearts - 4 item
How to make waldorf salad:
Dressing:2/3 c. sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 beaten eggs2 Tbsp. salad oil4 Tbsp. lemon juice4 Tbsp. orange juice1 c. pineapple juice1/2 pt. heavy cream, whipped Do not peel apples. Dice and mix with the celery and walnuts; set aside. In top of double boiler, combine sugar and flour and other ingredients, except cream. Stir until thick (5 minutes). Set aside; let cool.
