Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 c
- to 3 stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
- head lettuce, broken into bite-sized pieces - 1 item
- jar Miracle Whip do not use mayo - 8 oz
- bacon bits may use imitation - 1/2 c
How to make layered salad:
In an 8 x 13-inch Tupperware or airtight container, spread lettuce as bottom layer, then sprinkle onion, green pepper, celery and peas in turn. Spread Miracle Whip over all as if it were frosting. Sprinkle sugar over Miracle Whip, then sprinkle cheese and bacon bits. Seal tightly. Keep in refrigerator overnight. Best if served after 24 hours.
