Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- paprika - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- shredded Swiss cheese - 2 c
- hard-boiled eggs, sliced - 6 item
- sliced green onions and tops - 1/4 c
- chopped lettuce - 6 c
- bacon, cooked crisp, crumbled 1 1/2 c - 1 lb
- salad dressing creamy-type - 1 c
How to make layered salad:
*Thaw to 2 cups; not cooked.Place 3 cups lettuce in bottom of large clear bowl. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sugar. Add a layer of eggs, then sprinkle with more salt. Layer in order: peas, remaining lettuce, bacon and Swiss cheese. Spread salad dressing on top, sealing to edge of bowl. Cover and chill 24 hours. Garnish with green onions and paprika. Toss before serving. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
