Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- small green pepper - 1 item
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- shredded cabbage - 8 c
- medium carrots, shredded - 2 item
- lemon jello - 1 pkg
- small onion, cut fine - 1 item
How to make cabbage salad:
Mix vegetables together. Pour oil over; mix and let stand. Mix vinegar, water, sugar and salt in pan and bring to a boil. Remove from stove and add lemon jello. Stir until dissolved. Let cool. Pour over vegetables and mix together. Add celery seed. Can be kept 2 to 3 weeks. Store in covered container in refrigerator.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetables, Chinese.
