Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- diced onion - 1/4 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- cottage cheese - 3 c
- oregano
- Mozzarella cheese - 1/4 lb
- small can tomato sauce - 1 item
- garlic - 1 Tbsp
- can crushed tomatoes - 1 item
- ground pork - 8 oz
How to make lasagna:
Cook ground beef, ground pork, onion and garlic in a large saucepan until meat is brown and onion tender. Drain off all fat. Add tomatoes. Stir in tomato sauce, sugar and salt. Heat until boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until mixture is consistency of spaghetti sauce. Heat oven to 350°. Mix cottage cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, salt and oregano.In an ungreased baking dish, put a thin layer of sauce, then noodles, meat sauce and cottage cheese mixture. Repeat layers, ending with the meat sauce; sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake 45 minutes, then let stand 15 minutes before cutting. Makes 12 servings.
You will have 3 layers before repeating with more noodles.
