Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- baking powder
- sifted flour
How to make jelly roll:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually beat in sugar, then blend in water and vanilla. Slowly mix in dry ingredients. Pour into a jelly roll pan (12 x 18-inch) which has been lined with waxed paper or tinfoil and greased. Bake at 375° for about 15 minutes or until top springs up when touched. Loosen edges and immediately turn upside down on a towel sprinkled with powdered sugar. Carefully remove paper and then roll up while hot. After cooling, unroll and spread with favorite filling or jelly and again roll up.Recipe categories: Desserts, Low fat.
