Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
  • Italian seasoning - 2 Tbsp
  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • parsley - 1/2 c
  • olive oil - 3 Tbsp
  • tomato paste - 1 (12
  • whole bay leaves - 2 item
  • ground chuck - 1 lb
  • cans whole tomatoes - 2 lb

How to make italian meat sauce:

Heat oil in 6-quart saucepan. Add onions and cook for 2 minutes. Add ground chuck and garlic (or garlic powder) and cook until meat browns. Place whole tomatoes in blender and then add to meat mixture. Add rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil, then turn heat to low and simmer, covered, for about four hours. Remove bay leaves.
