Italian meat sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onions - 1 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- Italian seasoning - 2 Tbsp
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- parsley - 1/2 c
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- tomato paste - 1 (12
- whole bay leaves - 2 item
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- cans whole tomatoes - 2 lb
How to make italian meat sauce:
Heat oil in 6-quart saucepan. Add onions and cook for 2 minutes. Add ground chuck and garlic (or garlic powder) and cook until meat browns. Place whole tomatoes in blender and then add to meat mixture. Add rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil, then turn heat to low and simmer, covered, for about four hours.
