  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • eggs, separated - 3 item
  • coconut - 2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • pecans - 1 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • stick soft oleo - 1/2 item
  • Cream oleo and shortening together
  • Milnot or cream - 1 item
  • small sacks pecans, crushed - 2 item

How to make italian cream cake:

Mix sugar and egg yolks. Cream oleo and shortening together. Combine both mixtures. Mix buttermilk and soda; add alternately with flour. Beat slowly; add coconut and pecans. Fold in well beaten egg whites with sugar added to egg whites; add vanilla.
