Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- coconut - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- pecans - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- stick soft oleo - 1/2 item
- Cream oleo and shortening together
- Milnot or cream - 1 item
- small sacks pecans, crushed - 2 item
How to make italian cream cake:
Mix sugar and egg yolks. Cream oleo and shortening together. Combine both mixtures. Mix buttermilk and soda; add alternately with flour. Beat slowly; add coconut and pecans. Fold in well beaten egg whites with sugar added to egg whites; add vanilla.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
