- sugar - 2 c
- flour - 2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- egg yolks - 5 item
- soda do not use soda if using self-rising flour - 1 Tbsp
- small can coconut - 1 item
- egg whites, stiffly beaten - 5 item
- Icing:1 stick oleo
- pkg - 1 oz
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- chopped pecans enough to sprinkle over top - 1 item
How to make italian cream cake:
Icing:1 stick oleo1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 box powdered sugar1 Tbsp. vanilla chopped pecans (enough to sprinkle over top) Cake: Cream oleo and shortening. Add sugar and beat mixture until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well. Combine flouRecipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
