  • all-purpose flour, sifted
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • box light brown sugar - 1 lb
  • white granulated sugar - 1 c

How to make caramel nut pound cake:

Mix in mixer. Grease and flour a tube cake pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
