- milk - 2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- egg yolks - 5 item
- buttermilk - 1 c
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- egg whites - 5 item
- coconut and nuts - 1 item
- Cream sugar, eggs, butter and shortening
How to make italian cream cake:
Beat egg whites; set aside. Cream sugar, eggs, butter and shortening. Add flour, soda and milk. Mix well. Add coconut, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Add egg whites and mix. Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan.Cream Cheese Frosting:1/2 c. butter1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla2 tsp. milk coconut and nuts Mix and spread on cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cakes.
