Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
How to make italian cookies:
Beat eggs. Add sugar, melted butter, milk, vanilla, lemon juice and baking powder, then add flour. If batter seems to be sticky, add a little more flour. Make strips of pastry, about 2-inches wide. Bake about 15 minutes on a greased cookie sheet at 375° (strips will not be brown). Frost when cool and cut diagonally. Cake decorations can be sprinkled over the frosting before cutting.
