  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • milk - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour
  • creamy peanut butter - 3/4 c
  • firmly packed light brown sugar
  • Crisco stick - 1/2 c

How to make irresistible peanut butter cookies:

Heat oven to 375°. Combine peanut butter, Crisco, 1 teaspoon brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer. Add egg and beat until blended. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended.

Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 7 to 8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before removing to kitchen counter tops. Yields 3 dozen cookies.
