  • baking powder
  • egg - 1 item
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • pinch of sugar - 1 item
  • corn meal - 1 c
  • a little milk - 1 item
  • onion optional - 1 item
  • small green pepper optional - 1 item

How to make hush puppies:

Combine dry ingredients, then add egg and milk to consistency that can be dropped from spoon and fry in fish grease. When adding either onion or both onion and green pepper, they can be put in a blender with egg and milk and chopped fine.
