  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water - 1/2 c
  • molasses - 1/3 c
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • melted oleo - 4 Tbsp

How to make hot water gingerbread:

Add water to molasses and then add dry ingredients. Add oleo and beat well. Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan and bake at 325° for 25 to 35 minutes. Serve plain or top with Cool Whip.
