Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • eggs, well beaten - 2 item
  • butter or oleo - 1 Tbsp
  • hot milk - 1/2 c

How to make hot milk sponge cake:

Beat eggs and sugar and beat again. Add flour with baking powder and salt. Beat in hot milk and butter. Bake in loaf pan in moderate oven at 350° until done about 30 to 45 minutes.

This recipe is great for strawberry short cake.
