Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- almond extract - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
How to make hot milk cake:
Sift flour and baking powder together 3 times. Beat eggs until light. Beat in sugar 1 cup at a time. Mix in flour. Heat milk to boiling point, but do not boil. Put butter in milk to melt. Add flour mixture. Add extracts. Beat a few times. Bake in two 9-inch pans for 20 minutes at 350°.When ready to frost, split layers and spread lemon filling between layers. Frost with 7 Minute Frosting and cover with coconut.
