  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 tsp
  • vinegar - 3 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • slices bacon - 5 item
  • medium potatoes not baking potatoes - 5 item

How to make hot german potato salad:

Cook potatoes in salted water in skins; peel and slice. Fry bacon crisp; remove and crumble. Use 2 tablespoons of bacon fat and cook onions until tender. Add vinegar, bacon, sugar and flour. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over warm potatoes. Serve hot.
