  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • sifted flour - 1 c
  • nuts optional - 1 c
  • hot water
  • brown sugar, packed
  • shortening, melted - 2 Tbsp

How to make hot fudge pudding cake:

Topping:1 c. brown sugar, packed1/4 c. cocoa1 3/4 c. hot water Sift together in bowl flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa. Stir in milk, shortening and nuts. Spread this into a 9-inch loaf pan. Sprinkle with mixture of brown sugar and cocoa. Pour hot water over entire batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

During baking cake rises and sauce settles to bottom. Better if served warm.
