Hot curried fruit
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/3 c
- dark brown sugar - 3/4 c
- curry powder - 2 tsp
- red and green cherries can also use regular pitted cherries, purple canned plums and walnut pieces - 1 item
How to make hot curried fruit:
Melt butter and sugar. Add curry powder. (If you like a thick sauce, add 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch.) Drain fruit and place in a large flat casserole. Decorate with green and red cherries, if desired. Add melted curry sauce. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serves 6.Note: The nice thing about this, you may use any canned fruit you desire and it's easy to add to for a crowd. Great as a side dish for any meat. Can be prepared the day before and warmed up.
