Honey crunch pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 1/4 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- brown sugar
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- pecan halves
- dark corn syrup - 1 c
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- honey - 3 Tbsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
How to make honey crunch pecan pie:
Topping:1/3 c. brown sugar3 Tbsp. butter3 Tbsp. honey1 1/2 c. pecan halves In large bowl, combine eggs and rest of ingredients; mix well. Fold in pecans. Pour into prepared pie shell. Bake in 350° oven for 50 to 55 minutes. During last 30 minutes of baking, cover edge of pastry with foil to prevent overbrowning.Meanwhile, over medium heat, cook brown sugar, butter and honey, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved, approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Add pecan halves; stir until well coated. During last 10 minutes of baking, spoon pecan mixture over pie. Bake remaining 10 minutes or until top is bubbly and golden brown.
