  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/8 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour
  • cooking oil - 1 Tbsp
  • honey - 2 Tbsp
  • apple juice - 3/4 c
  • apple pie spice - 1/4 tsp

How to make honey-apple pancakes:

In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, apple pie spice and baking soda. In a small bowl beat egg slightly; stir in apple juice, honey and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture; stir until blended but still slightly lumpy. For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle or heavy skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until pancakes have a bubbly surface and slightly dry edges. Turn and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more or until golden brown. Makes about eight 4-inch pancakes. Each pancake has 124 calories and 3 grams of fat. These make for a great lo-cal breakfast!
