  • sudsy ammonia - 1/2 c
  • alcohol rubbing - 1 pt
  • Dawn dishwashing detergent - 1 tsp
  • few drops blue food coloring - 1 item

How to make homemade windex:

Recipe #1: Fill a gallon container with water and add ingredients.

Recipe #2: Place ammonia and alcohol in gallon container. Next add food coloring and Dawn detergent last. Stir gently.

The cost is about 75 cents. This may be used as a windshield cleaner in cars.

Recipe #2 is a little stronger. Please use a glass container.
