Holiday fruit salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- pkg - 3 oz
- sour cream - 1 c
- boiling water - 3 c
- can crushed pineapple - 1 oz
- ripe bananas - 2 item
- crisp lettuce leaves - 1 item
How to make holiday fruit salad:
In large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Slice bananas into gelatin mixture. Add frozen strawberries and undrained pineapple. Pour half the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch pan. Refrigerate 1 hour. In mixer bowl, beat cream with sour cream and sugar; spread over chilled layer. Gently spoon remaining gelatin mixture on top. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours. Cut into squares; serve on lettuce-lined salad plates. Garnish with additional pineapple.Recipe categories: Fruit, Apple, Salads.
