  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • sifted flour
  • eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
  • can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk - 1 item
  • 1 lb - 2 c
  • walnuts, coarsely chopped - 1 c
  • 28 oz

How to make holiday fruit cake:

Butter a spring-form pan or 9-inch tube pan. Line with waxed paper. Butter again. Sift flour and soda. Combine eggs, mincemeat, condensed milk, fruit and nuts. Fold in dry ingredients. Pour into pan; bake in slow oven at 300° for 2 hours or until center springs back when touched (top is golden brown). Cool. Turn out and remove waxed paper.
