Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cold water - 1/4 c
- shortening - 3/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- onion salt - 1 tsp
- ground beef
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- can drained green beans or peas, peas and carrots - 1 item
How to make hamburger pot pie:
Filling:1 lb. ground beef1/2 c. chopped onion1 can drained green beans or peas, peas and carrots1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper1/2 tsp. oregano1 can tomato soup Onion Pastry: Mix flour and onion salt together. Cut in shortening. Work in water to make dough. Roll out on floured board to fit pie pan. Makes 2 crusts.Filling: Brown beef with onion; drain fat. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan; cover with top crust. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes at 400°.
