Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 3 c
- onion slices - 1 qt
- green peppers, chopped - 1 c
- cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- green tomatoes, quartered - 1 gal
How to make green tomato pickles:
Place green tomatoes and onion in large bowl; sprinkle with salt. Cover with ice and let stand 2 hours. Stir once or twice. Bring vinegar and sugar to a boil, then add vegetables and cook until color changes. Then, put in jars and seal.Recipe categories: American, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
