Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- bell pepper - 1 item
- can green beans - 1 item
- Wesson oil - 1/2 c
- can English peas - 1 item
- small jar pimento - 1 item
- to 3 small onions - 2 item
How to make green bean salad:
Drain beans and peas. Add chopped pimento, bell pepper, celery and onions. Heat sugar and vinegar until sugar dissolves. Let cool. Add salt and Wesson oil. Pour over vegetables. Let marinate for 24 hours. Drain before serving, if desired. Keeps for several days.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetables, Green/yellow beans.
