Granny's strawberry cake

Ingredients/Components

• butter or yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
• pkg - 1 oz
• box frozen strawberries fresh, sweetened strawberries may be used if desired - 1 item
• carton Cool Whip - 1 oz

How to make granny's strawberry cake:

Bake cake according to directions on box. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. While cake bakes, dissolve Jell-O in 1 cup hot water and 1/2 cup cold water.

When cake is done, poke holes about 1-inch apart over cake. Spoon Jell-O into holes. Spread with thawed strawberries. Cool. Top with Cool Whip. Refrigerate.
