Golden meatball casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- oil - 1 item
- egg - 1 item
- chopped onions - 1/4 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- Velveeta cheese, cubed - 1/2 lb
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- fresh bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- large carrots, quartered - 2 item
How to make golden meatball casserole:
Combine meat, bread crumbs, egg and salt; shape into 18 meatballs. Brown in small amount of oil on all sides in a large skillet. Drain. Add water, rice, carrots, green pepper and onions. Cover and simmer 25 minutes. Add Velveeta. Heat until Velveeta melts. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Ground beef.
