Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- hot water - 1/2 c
- nutmeg, salt, cinnamon and cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make ginger creams:
Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Dissolve soda in hot water. Stir in dry ingredients. Drop from teaspoon about 2 inches apart. Bake about 8 minutes. Frost with confectioners sugar icing. Spray cookie sheet with Pam before putting cookies on.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
