  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • brown sugar
  • butter - 2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • butter or margarine I use butter - 1/2 c
  • unsifted flour, spooned into cup plain - 2 c

How to make german coffee cake:

Topping:1/3 c. brown sugar1/3 c. flour1/2 tsp. cinnamon2 tsp. butter Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Cream butter and cream cheese until light. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla; beat until well blended. Set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Gradually add flour mixture alternating with milk to butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Turn into baking dish; sprinkle with topping mixture (recipe follows). Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.

Topping: Blend all ingredients with fork. Sprinkle over cake and bake until slightly brown and bubbly.
