Sour cream coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 item
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 item
- milk
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 item
- Set aside
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Mix 1 1/4 cups walnuts, 1/4 cup white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and 1/3 cup melted butter to make filling. Set aside. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Cream 1/2 cup butter or margarine, add 1 cup sugar, eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla, then alternately add dry ingredients and sour cream. Grease a 10-inch Bundt pan. Fill with half of the batter. Sprinkle 2/3 of filling over batter. Add remaining batter, then top with remaining filling. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from pan. Mix glaze and drizzle over cake.
