German apple pancakes
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1 item
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- sliced apples
How to make german apple pancakes:
Heat a 9 or 10-inch iron skillet in a 475° oven. Saute apples in butter; set aside and keep warm. In a blender, combine remaining ingredients in order given; blend well. Remove skillet from oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter in it. Arrange apples on bottom of skillet. Pour batter over apples. Bake at 475° for 15 minutes. Reduce to 375° and bake 10 minutes more. Remove from oven and invert on serving plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into wedges to serve.Recipe categories: Egg, Pancakes and waffles, Breakfast.
