Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- salad oil - 1 c
- thinly sliced apples - 4 c
- or 3 eggs - 2 item
How to make german apple cake:
Frosting:2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese3 Tbsp. butter1 tsp. vanilla2 c. powdered sugar Beat eggs until foamy with salad oil. Add sugar, vanilla, soda, flour, cinnamon and salt. Mix well until thick and add chopped nuts and apples. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 35 to 40 minutes at 350°. When cool, frost.Frosting: Mix together and frost cool cake. Store unused portion of cake in refrigerator.
