Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1/2 c
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • celery seed - 1/2 tsp
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
  • small jar diced pimentos - 1 item
  • slivered toasted almonds - 1/2 c
  • French-style green beans - 1 can
  • white Shoe Peg corn - 1 can
  • small peas - 1 can

How to make garden salad:

Marinade Sauce:1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. vinegar1/2 c. oil1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. mustard seed1/2 tsp. celery seed1/2 tsp. paprika Drain vegetables well. While they are draining prepare marinade as follows: Combine all ingredients and bring to boil. Cool thoroughly before covering vegetables. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Will keep over a week.
