Ingredients/Components

  • Sugar
  • Flour - 3 c
  • Milk - 1 c
  • Eggs - 2 item
  • Baking Powder - 2 tsp
  • Pinch of Salt - 1 item
  • Shortening - 1/2 c
  • Squares Unsweetened Chocolate - 3 item
  • Optional additions: Raisins, Coconut, Dates, Nuts - 1 item
  • dates and nuts are a good combination - 1 item

How to make fudge squares:

Melt the chocolate over hot water or in microwave. Mix shortening and sugar, add eggs unbeaten. Add the chocolate and stir. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt alternately with the milk.

Bake in a cookie sheet (with sides) at 375° for 15 minutes. Mine is 1 inch deep x 11 1/2 x 17-inch.
