Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour
- hot water - 1/3 c
- sour milk - 1 c
How to make fudge cake:
Sift the dry ingredients. Cream the shortening. Add sugar gradually. Add vanilla and well beaten eggs. Beat until fluffy. Add dry ingredients with sour cream. Mix cocoa and hot water and add to the batter. Mix well. Bake in 2 (9-inch) pans at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Spread with chocolate icing.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
