Fruit and nut salad
Ingredients/Components
- oil
- honey - 3 tsp
- lettuce leaves - 1 item
- white wine vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- 1 large thin sliced red apple - 1 c
- 1 large thin sliced pear - 1 c
- 1 large orange slices - 1 c
- toasted pine nuts or unblanched, chopped almonds - 1/2 c
How to make fruit and nut salad:
Dressing:1/3 c. oil3 tsp. honey3 Tbsp. white wine vinegar Salad: In a large bowl, combine apple, pear and orange slices.Dressing: In a small bowl, combine oil, vinegar and honey; blend well. Pour over fruit; toss to coat.
Arrange fruit mixture on 6 lettuce-lined salad plates. Sprinkle each with a heaping tablespoonful of pine nuts. Makes 6 (1/2-cup) servings.
Tip: Toast pine nuts in a shallow pan. Bake at 350° for 3 to 6 minutes.
