Frog eye salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- Cool Whip - 16 oz
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- cans mandarin oranges - 2 item
- RF acini de pepe macaroni, cooked and rinsed
- cans crushed pineapple separate juice and save 1 3/4 c - 2 oz
How to make frog eye salad:
Combine sugar, salt, flour, eggs, lemon juice and pineapple juice. Cook until thickened over medium heat. Mix with macaroni. Cover and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Add mandarin oranges, pineapple and Cool Whip. Mix well. Refrigerate a few hours before serving.Optional Additions: Mini marshmallows, nuts, cherries and bananas.
