Friendship cake
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine, melted - 1 c
- sugar
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- drained brandied fruit - 2 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- brandied fruit juice - 1/4 c
- powdered sugar optional - 1 item
How to make friendship cake:
Combine butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat well. Add eggs, beat well. Coarsely chop brandied fruit and stir into batter. Add pecans and juice; mix well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for one hour. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
