butter or margarine, melted - 1 c
sugar
all-purpose flour - 3 c
baking soda - 1 tsp
ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
eggs - 2 item
drained brandied fruit - 2 c
chopped pecans - 1 c
brandied fruit juice - 1/4 c
powdered sugar optional - 1 item

How to make friendship cake:

Combine butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat well. Add eggs, beat well. Coarsely chop brandied fruit and stir into batter. Add pecans and juice; mix well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for one hour. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
