Fresno pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water
- baking powder
- seedless raisins - 1 c
How to make fresno pudding:
Syrup:2 c. water1 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. butter Butter a 9 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix raisins and milk; mix.Make syrup of water, brown sugar and butter. When sugar is dissolved, pour syrup over the batter in the baking dish and bake in a moderate oven at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. The liquid will seem too thin, but it is correct. As it bakes, the batter rises through the syrup and mixes with it. Serve warm. Top with cream or ice cream. Serves 6 to 8.
