Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- nuts - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate upside-down cake:
Cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar. Add flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, salt and baking powder (sifted together) alternately with milk. Stir in nuts and vanilla.Pour into greased, 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Over top, spoon sauce of 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, 4 tablespoons cocoa and water. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350°.
