Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1/3 c
- can crushed pineapple - 1 oz
- bananas - 2 item
- blueberries - 1/2 c
- graham cracker crust - 1 item
- strawberries - 1 pt
- peaches - 3 item
How to make fresh fruit pie:
Blend cornstarch with 3 tablespoons pineapple juice drained from canned pineapple. Add remaining juice and pineapple; heat until thickened. Layer banana slices, peach slices, blueberries and strawberries, leaving some strawberries and blueberries for garnish. Pour thickened pineapple over fruit; garnish with reserved fruit and, if used, nuts. Serve cold. Makes 8 servings.Option: Top each slice of pie with tablespoon of low-fat vanilla or lemon yogurt or whipped cream.
