  • quick cooking rolled oats - 1/2 c
  • packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
  • ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • sliced peeled peaches, apples or pears - 5 c
  • vanilla ice cream or light cream - 1 item

How to make fresh fruit crisp:

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Set aside. Place fruit in a 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle oat mixture over fruit. Bake, uncovered, at 350° until fruit is tender, about 40 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or light cream.
