Fortune cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 Tbsp
• cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
• water - 1 Tbsp
• dash of salt - 1 item
• cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
• cake flour - 1/4 c
• egg white - 1 item

How to make fortune cookies:

Write fortunes on small papers.

Sift together flour, sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add oil and egg white. Stir until smooth. Add water; mix well. Make one cookie at a time. Pour 1 tablespoon batter onto lightly greased skillet or griddle, spreading batter to 3 1/2-inch circle. Cook over low heat for 4 minutes or until lightly browned. With wide spatula, lift and turn. Cook 1 minute more. Quickly place cookie on potholder. Put fortune in center. Fold cookie in half and fold over edge of bowl to shape. Cool.
