Ingredients/Components
- sifted flour - 3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- water - 6 Tbsp
How to make flaky pastry:
Sift flour with salt. Cut shortening into flour. Beat the egg with 5 tablespoons water. Add to flour mixture. Use remainder of water, if necessary. Makes 3 pie shells.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Main dish, Savory pies.
