Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chocolate chips
  • 4 oz - 2 c
  • chopped pecans or walnuts - 1/2 c
  • undiluted evaporated milk - 2/3 c

How to make famous fudge:

Butter 8-inch square pan. In medium saucepan, combine butter, evaporated milk, sugar and salt. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Stir in marshmallows, chocolate chips, vanilla and nuts. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows melt completely. Pour into pan. Cool and cut. For thicker fudge, use a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
