  • milk
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • butter - 2/3 c
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • raisins optional - 1/4 c
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp

How to make english tea scones:

Grease a large cookie sheet. Combine all ingredients in a bowl or food processor. Mix. Make a soft dough. On a floured surface, knead 5 to 6 times. Roll in 1 large round. Butter top. Bake at 425° for 15 to 18 minutes. Cut into 8 wedges.
