- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- butter - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- raisins optional - 1/4 c
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
How to make english tea scones:
Grease a large cookie sheet. Combine all ingredients in a bowl or food processor. Mix. Make a soft dough. On a floured surface, knead 5 to 6 times. Roll in 1 large round. Butter top. Bake at 425° for 15 to 18 minutes. Cut into 8 wedges.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Scones.
